Pennsylvania’s Luzerne CountyOn Sunday evening, an old chicken barn in Luzerne County was destroyed by fire.

Around 3 p.m., firefighters arrived at Silver Lake Farms in Huntington after receiving reports of several barns on fire.

The Mocanaqua fire chief said the buildings were thought to be deserted.

There were four barns burning. While the others had partial losses, two were found to have suffered whole losses.

The owner was taken to a nearby hospital after suffering burns.

Fire Chief Dustin Thomas said that because of the weather, personnel responded as soon as possible.

The fact that we reside in a very remote place is made worse by the recent high temperatures. An important issue from the beginning was the water supply.

The cause of a barn fire in Luzerne County is presently being looked into by the PSP fire marshal.
