The government of Florida says it will give out payments that look like stimulus checks in 2024. The goal is to help the state’s poorest families with their finances.

Residents could get up to $450 per family through this new program. This is meant to help people deal with rising prices and the high cost of living.

Requirements for these stimulus check-like payments

  • Legal Residency in Florida for at Least Two Years: Only residents who can verify their legal status and have lived continuously in the state for at least two years will qualify for this benefit.
  • Annual Income Below $75,000: To be eligible, applicants must have an annual income not exceeding $75,000. This requirement ensures the benefit reaches those who most need it, particularly families struggling with the impact of rising prices for basic goods and services like gasoline, electricity, water, and transportation.

The size of these checks depends on how many children live in the home. People who meet certain requirements can get a one-time payment of up to $450.

So that the money goes to the people who need it most, the program only helps families whose income doesn’t go over certain limits, which are changed based on the size of the home.

The government of Florida said that stimulus checks will start being sent out at the end of October. The people who are supposed to get these payments will get them straight through prepaid cards or electronic deposits.
