A father from Deer Park who was shot and killed on the East End is being remembered by friends.

On Saturday of last week, 32-year-old Dustin Colvin was shot and killed.

The incident happened in a park on Callahan Street just after six o’clock in the evening, according to Cincinnati police.

Colvin was there to film, according to friends. Colvin was a skilled videographer from the area.

According to a buddy named Johnny Tatum, it was simply unthinkable that someone could have been so content and healthy the day before. In a second, things can change.

Tatum characterized Colvin as a loving friend and parent.

Tatum was saying, “I don’t think you could be around him and not smile.”

Family members are now banding together to help Colvin’s young daughter.
