Gas leak prompts temporary evacuations in San Francisco Outer Richmond neighborhood

The San Francisco Fire Department reported that a short evacuation was necessary due to a gas leak in the Outer Richmond area.

The gas leak occurred at the intersection of Balboa Street and 47th Avenue.

Residents on 47th and 48th avenues were evacuated from Balboa Cabrillo streets by fire crews. According to San Francisco Fire, 15 persons were temporarily evacuated.

At 48th and Balboa, a San Francisco Muni bus was being utilized as a makeshift shelter.

There have been no reports of injuries.
