Sampson is charged with bringing in contraband that tested positive for Xylazine last week and giving an inmate a cell phone, according to court filings.
Since July 2023, Sampson has been employed with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a correctional services deputy.
While internal and criminal investigations are ongoing, Sampson was put on unpaid administrative leave.
A $60,000 bond was imposed for him.
