According to transit officials, the Hayward BART station was closed for many hours on Tuesday morning after one person was stabbed there.
Due to initially unidentified police activity, the transit agency announced the shutdown at roughly 10 a.m. No trains were stopped as they passed through the station.

Agency spokeswoman Jim Allison confirmed in an update Tuesday afternoon that someone had been stabbed on the station’s concourse level. Due to non-life-threatening injuries, the sufferer was sent to a hospital.
Two people were taken into custody by police after the stabbing, however it was later established that they had nothing to do with it.
It took some time to get more information regarding the stabbing. According to the police, surveillance camera footage was among the material they were collecting and examining.
According to BART officials, the station reopened at approximately 1 p.m.
