After she canceled their wedding and gave back her engagement ring during a football watch party on Sunday, informing her daughter, “I blew her brains out,” a guy in Florida killed his fiancée with a.357 Magnum pistol, according to authorities.

According to St. Cloud Police, Timothy Hyder, 57, was drinking and watching a game at a St. Cloud home with his fiancée, Natalia Du Mee, and a few other individuals when she revealed the awful news about their marriage.

According to Hyder and family members who spoke to investigators, the couple had been dating since October 2021 and had a history of fighting and arguing when they drank alcohol together.

On Sunday night, when the murder took place, Du Mee and Hyder were at the football party together, according to one family member, Du Mee’s daughter, who told police that they had been fighting all day before coming home.

The reason behind Du Mee’s decision to end the engagement is unknown, but the two reportedly had problems in their relationship for a while.

Prior to the deadly shooting, Du Mee’s daughter claimed to have heard her mother and Hyder bickering when she got home.

According to Hyder’s arrest documents, [Du Mee’s daughter] claimed she was lying in Natalie and Timothy’s bedroom watching a movie when she started to hear them fight.

Jenna claimed that in order to avoid listening to their argument, she cranked up the television’s volume. According to Jenna, Timothy went into the closet after entering the bedroom. According to Jenna, she thought Timothy was getting ready for bed when she left the bedroom.

Jenna reported hearing a loud noise shortly after exiting the bedroom. “I went downstairs and saw Natalie bleeding from her mouth and head,” Jenna said.

Hyder, who also told police what transpired, claims that he ultimately took his.357 revolver from the closet that evening and used it to shoot Du Mee in the head, killing her.

He allegedly admitted to the murder, according to the affidavit, saying that his fiancée had literally pushed him to the edge of his comfort zone.

According to the affidavit, Timothy claimed that they would argue when they drank alcohol. According to Timothy, they got into a fight at the celebration, and Natalie informed him that she would not wed him.

When they got home, Timothy said, they sat on the back porch and talked about their relationship. According to Timothy, Natalie pushed him, reaffirmed her refusal to wed him, and gave back the engagement ring as they argued further.

In order to find out whether Du Mee meant what she said, Hyder said police he walked inside, retrieved his.357 revolver, and then went back to the back porch.

According to the evidence, Timothy claimed that when he asked Natalie if she was certain she wouldn’t marry him, she said that she was. “Put one right in the back of her head,” Timothy said. Hyder denied hearing the gunfire, according to the police.

According to the testimony, Timothy said he instructed [Du Mee’s daughter] to dial 911 and put the handgun back in its holster. Timothy claimed that while waiting for police to arrest him, he went outside.
