In Butler County, a key road close to the Great Miami River was closed due to a terrible accident that claimed one life.
Due to an early-morning collision, State Route 127 in Butler County was closed entirely at the Great Miami River Bridge.
Deputies arrived at the scene of the collision about 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
They stated that a 21-year-old guy was traveling south on State Route 127 when he lost control of his 2011 Mitsubishi SUV.
He went off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to the police. They said that the driver had already passed away when the police arrived.
Alcohol and excessive speed are being looked into by authorities as potential causes of the collision.
The area was closed for over an hour before reopening just before 8 a.m.
