A 16-year-old child was allegedly grabbed by a man from Jefferson City, who then proposed to him.
In a felony case, 40-year-old Myron Cage is accused of witness tampering and first-degree attempted sexual abuse. They’re holding him without a bond.
The accusations are related to an incident that happened in Jefferson City last month.
Officers were informed by the victim that he dozed off on the couch and woke up to find Cage standing above him.
According to the victim, Cage aggressively touched him, made advances toward him, and vowed to keep the incident a secret.
According to reports, Cage stopped when he heard the victim’s brother ascend the stairs.
The victim and his father only knew Cage by a nickname, according to the police, and he is homeless.
But in a phone lineup, both could recognize Cage.
Cage refuted the accusations and was arrested on Wednesday.
