A detailed analysis of the class action
The WellNow Urgent Care class action lawsuit was brought about due to a data breach that occurred in 2023. Arguments in this matter noted that the company failed to prevent this breach, which compromised some of the patient information. To resolve any claims in this matter, WellNow Urgent Care agreed to a settlement of $1,1 million.
The information of 597,000 individuals was compromised during the breach that occurred on 25 April 2023. The sensitive patient information that was compromised includes things such as Social Security Numbers (SSN).
WellNow Urgent Care has not admitted any wrongdoing in this matter but has agreed to the $1,1 million settlement as a resolution for the class action lawsuit.
