The Utah Hockey Club overcame the San Jose Sharks 4-3 on Saturday night when Clayton Keller scored a power-play goal with 43.8 seconds left.

Shortly after Cody Ceci was punished for high-sticking, Utah won it during 4-on-3 play after Michael Carcone knotted it halfway through the third.

After Utah prevailed at the faceoff, Keller scored his tenth goal of the year by beating Vitek Vanecek and getting the puck into the slot.

Utah also had goals from Nick Schmaltz and Dylan Guenther. 19 saves were made by Karel Vejmelka.

Early in the third period, San Jose took a 3-2 lead thanks to a power play from Fabian Zetterlund, but the Sharks were unable to finish it. San Jose also had goals from Mikael Granlund and Alexander Wennberg. 36 saves were made by Vanecek.

Utah: Thanks to the comeback victory, Utah has won four of their last five games and has points in all five.

Sharks: After a 3-3 road trip, San Jose came home and took the lead early in the third period but was unable to extend it. Out of five games, the Sharks have dropped four of them.

To the ire of the Sharks, Utah forward Kevin Stenlund hit San Jose rookie Macklin Celebrini from behind in the second period, sending him into the boards without a penalty. Celebrini managed to continue playing. In a preseason game, Stenlund tripped Celebrini, sending him into the boards and causing an ankle injury.

Celebrini has 20 points in his first 21 games as a player and helped set up Zetterlund’s goal. Ryan Nugent Hopkins (22) Patrick Kane (22) and Sidney Crosby (25 points) are the other 18-year-olds who have accomplished that in the past 30 seasons.
