A car accident caused a temporary closure of the 33 West on a busy Friday night in Buffalo, New York.
Police have taken one person into custody for driving while intoxicated, while two others were sent to Erie County Medical Center with minor injuries, as confirmed by a city spokesperson.
The accident happened a little after 7 p.m., and the 33 West was closed from Best Street down to Jefferson Avenue.
According to NITTEC (the traffic monitoring service), they officially reported the closure at 7:56 p.m.

To help ease the situation, cars were being redirected to exit the highway at Best Street so commuters could take other routes to their destinations.
Fortunately, the road reopened around 8:40 p.m., allowing traffic to resume as usual.
