An at-risk man who escaped a mental health treatment facility last week is being sought by deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday, Luis Moreno-Zuniga, a patient at the unincorporated San Leandro-based Villa Fairmont Mental Health Center, left. According to the Sheriff’s Office, it’s unclear how he got away.

A 30-year-old Hispanic man, Moreno-Zuniga is 5’3 to 5’7, weighs roughly 140 pounds, and has a slender physique. He has black hair and brown eyes. What he was wearing was unknown.

Moreno-Zuniga’s mental health diagnosis puts her at risk.

(510) 667-7721 is the number to call the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office if you know Moreno-Zuniga’s location.
