Missouri: A Missouri politician wants to help families during tax season.

The child tax credit should be expanded, according to Senator Josh Hawley.

He wants to raise it to $5,000 from the present cap of $2,000 per child.

Additionally, Hawley would prefer that it be done in phases throughout the course of the year rather than all at once during tax season.

When you receive your paycheck each week or month, the deduction is immediately visible. You are, therefore, paying those taxes. Additionally, I believe that you should receive a tax discount if you have children.

The payroll taxes that are deducted from your paycheck each pay period should be reduced. “My plan would be $5,000 for each child,” Hawley added.

According to Hawley, the difficulties facing the economy now are crucial in assisting working families in covering the expenses associated with childrearing.
