Police in Mountain View say that two men were arrested early Sunday morning after they allegedly attacked another man with a knife in the parking lot of a nearby taqueria.

Around 12:28 a.m. on Oct. 13, police were called to 1929 Latham St. to report a fight outside of Jennifer’s Taqueria. Police say that when they got there, they talked to the victim, who told them that two guys had attacked him.

The victim told the police that he was in the parking lot “minding his own business” when a group of men started yelling at him for no reason. One man pulled out a knife and held it to the victim’s neck, and another man punched him in the face, police said. The argument turned violent.

The victim named two suspects in the attack: a Mountain View resident 19 years old and a Mountain View resident 44 years old. The guys were arrested because police thought they were assaulting someone and using a weapon. Police say they were taken to the San Jose Main Jail and booked.
