According to Caltrans, the route should reopen on Wednesday.
In order to clear the drainage system, grade slops above the highway, and remove fallen trees and debris, Caltrans crews have already had a week of daily complete closures on the stretch between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The job was weather-dependent and somewhat reduced because of the recent rains, officials said.
