New Jersey Man in Critical Condition After Stepson’s Hammer Attack in Woodbridge!

Woodbridge, New Jersey After being hit with a hammer on Saturday night, a 48-year-old man is in critical condition.

The victim was found at a Sherry Street residence at approximately 6:42 p.m., according to continuing investigations.

Ronald Javier Polanco-Barrera, 22, of Woodbridge, has been taken into custody by the authorities.

Authorities claim that Polanco-Barrera repeatedly struck his stepfather in the head with a hammer. He faces numerous serious charges, such as aggravated assault and attempted murder.

At Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the patient is presently in critical condition.

Polanco Barrera faces serious allegations, including

  • First-degree attempted murder,
  • Second-degree aggravated assault,
  • Third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and
  • Fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
