Morrisville, North Carolina – The Trump-Vance White House will witness a historic occasion when Usha Vance, wife of Vice President-elect JD Vance, becomes the first Second Lady of Indian descent and the first Hindu Second Lady.

Many Morrisville residents are happy to be represented.

“To have someone of the same background representing our cultural values in the second-highest position I think is a good thing,” Darshan Ramegowda, the politician, said.

Ami Dave-Patel explained, “The name Usha signifies daybreak. I see someone who resembles me and shares my traditions and culture. It is empowering, and it feels as if someone is representing the entire community.”

Usha Vance, an attorney, was born and reared in San Diego, California, to Indian immigrants. The community is hoping she will utilize her position for good.

When Vance takes office, she will be the youngest Second Lady since 38-year-old Jane Barkley in the Truman administration in 1949.
