Two guys have been taken into custody in relation to last month’s Oakland freeway shooting.
The California Highway Patrol said on social media Tuesday that two Oakland brothers, Kevin Edgar Martinez Hernandez, 25, and Ruben Martinez Hernandez, 22, had been arrested on December 2.
The males are charged with shooting on November 8 at approximately 5 p.m. on westbound Interstate Highway 580 close to Park Boulevard.
According to the CHP, the victim reported to 911 that their car had been rear-ended on Oakland city streets and that someone had shot at it.
The offenders’ car was recognized by nearby flock safety cameras. The men were taken into custody, and it was situated on Claremont Avenue close to Grizzly Peak Boulevard. According to the highway patrol, a loaded handgun was discovered during the arrest.
According to the CHP, the two men are charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, firing a handgun at a moving vehicle, and possessing a loaded, unlicensed firearm. The Alameda County Jail received their booking.
