Devin Brown, the backup quarterback for Ohio State, is moving to California.
Despite using the transfer site in December, Brown remained with the Buckeyes for their drive to the national title, which culminated in their victory over Notre Dame on Monday night.
On Tuesday, Cal revealed that Brown would be joining the Golden Bears for the upcoming campaign.

Along with the top two backups, Chandler Rogers and CJ Harris, the Bears lost primary quarterback Fernando Mendoza to Indiana this offseason.
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, a freshman, is anticipated to challenge Brown for the starting position at Cal. Brown is still eligible for two more years.
After losing to Kyle McCord in a close quarterback fight in 2023, Brown was once again pushed to the back seat when the Buckeyes signed Will Howard, a transfer from Kansas State, for 2024.
Mostly on mop-up duty, Brown, a native of Gilbert, Arizona, has thrown for 331 yards and three touchdowns over the last two seasons.
