A New York man was shot and robbed Sunday morning at the Biden Welcome Center on Interstate 95 close to Newark, according to Delaware State Police.
Troopers found the 45-year-old guy laying in the parking lot outside the center’s Starbucks after being sent to the welcome center, which is situated at 530 John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway between the northbound and southbound lanes of I-95, at around 7 a.m.
Troops said that an unidentified suspect or suspects approached the man from Goshen, New York, who had stopped at the service station on his way. Police claim that after robbing him, they shot him.
Detectives were actively investigating, but as of Sunday night, authorities had no description of the potential gunman or shooters.
