After a domestic incident in which a young mother and her shooter from DC were both killed, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office has sent out more information.

The woman who was killed in Lexington Park, Alaysia Janell Milburn, was 25 years old. She was found before police went on a multi-county chase that ended with 38-year-old Kenneth Louis Price shooting himself, according to authorities.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 46000 block of Rosewood Drive just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, to look into a report of a domestic fight.

When the police arrived, they found Milburn with a gunshot wound. As soon as she got to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, she was declared dead.

As a safety measure, a 7-month-old baby was also taken from the scene to the hospital.

Witnesses told police that the shooter, who was later identified as Price, then drove off in a Hyundai Kona that was seen going north on Route 5. This started a chase that went through Charles and Calvert counties.

The sheriff’s office says that when the car entered Charles County, deputies from the Charles and Calvert County Sheriff’s Offices as well as the Maryland State Police replied and joined the chase. It ended in Hughesville, in the 15000 block of Prince Frederick Road.

A officer from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office was able to get into Price’s car and damage it.

Investigators say Price got out of his Kia for a moment, then went back in and fired one shot. Deputies found him with a gunshot wound to the head.

After the second killing, Price was taken to a nearby trauma center, but by Wednesday morning, she was already dead.

Chief of Police in St. Mary’s County, Steve Hall, said, “We mourn the death of this young mother and hold her family in prayer.” “Today’s terrible events make it clear that we need to keep working hard on all fronts to stop violence in relationships.”
