A guy who was wanted for striking two people and a bike with a car hours earlier was shot and killed by San Francisco police early Friday morning near Union Square.
Officers discovered the suspect’s car at Grant Avenue and Post Street at roughly 1:30 a.m. on Friday, the time of the incident.
According to San Francisco police, the man was armed, and they found a gun.
As at 7 a.m., the area’s streets remained closed.
Police did not immediately provide any other information.
In the upcoming days, the department will have a town hall to address the event, according to Police Chief William Scott.
