In relation to an incident at a nearby fast-food restaurant last week, a Texas lady was taken into custody and subsequently charged with the mistreatment of a corpse.

Authorities in Texas claim that after entering the establishment, the woman locked herself in the restroom for hours, during which time she gave birth.

After being taken to the hospital, the newborn was pronounced dead by the medical staff. An autopsy will establish the cause of death, and if investigators discover she injured the infant, charges could be escalated, police officials said.

Investigators found that after giving birth, the mother allegedly attempted to flush the baby down the toilet.

When a restaurant employee contacted 911 and reported the occurrence to the operator, the investigation got underway. The woman was taken into custody by the responding cops after they approached her.

The mom tried to flush the infant down the toilet but was unsuccessful, according to the first responders. According to a statement from the authorities, the infant had to be forcibly removed from the toilet’s U-trap drain by first responders.

After being taken to the hospital, the newborn was pronounced dead by the medical staff. The woman gave birth in a bathroom at 30 weeks pregnant, according to the authorities.

The affidavit claims that the infant suffered brain injuries after being pushed and flushed down the toilet drain.
