Authorities in San Jose reported that firefighters rescued many occupants while attempting to suppress a two-alarm fire that started at an apartment complex on Friday night.

At around 5:49 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the fire on the 3500 block of Moorpark Ave. close to I-280 in West San Jose.
