Shooting near San Francisco’s Mission leaves woman in critical condition

After being shot on Sunday night in San Francisco’s Clinton Park, close to the Mission District, a woman was in critical condition, according to authorities.

The San Francisco Police Department reports that officers responded to a shooting report at a residence on the 200 block of Clinton Park between Guerrero and Valencia just after 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Officers arrived to discover a female adult victim who appeared to have been shot. After receiving assistance from police and paramedics, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with potentially fatal injuries.

For several hours, officers stayed on the site to look into the shooting.
