NEWARK (PIX11) Newark, New Jersey According to the Essex County Prosecutor, a terrible car accident in Newark, New Jersey, on Friday night resulted in the murders of six people.

The incident happened on Raymond Boulevard, close to the Route 1 and 9 Southbound onramp, just before 11 p.m.

Officials say the car swerved off the road and into the air, hitting a Pulaski Skyway support column before catching fire as it hit the ground.

Information about the victims and their relationships was not immediately made public by the authorities.
