The Social Security Administration (SSA) will alter the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries’ payment schedule in February 2025.

Since February 1, 2025, is a Saturday, the SSA will advance the payment to January 31, 2025, as the agency does not send payments on the first of the month. Normally, these payments are made on the first of the month.

On February 3, 2025, those who receive SSI in addition to SSDI or retirement payments will get their first February payment. Those who met SSA requirements and began receiving Social Security payments before to May 1997 are eligible for this date.

More dates confirmed by the Social Security Administration

For individuals who started receiving benefits after April 30, 1997, the SSA has instituted a staggered payment schedule that is based on the Wednesday of each month. Depending on the beneficiary’s birthdate, payments will be issued on February 12, 19, and 26, 2025.

Payment shall be made on February 12 to individuals born between the first and tenth of any given month, February 19 to those born between the eleventh and the twenty, and February 26 to those born after the twentieth.

Lastly, according to the SSA, individuals who have worked in SSA-covered employment for 35 years and claimed for benefits at age 70 may get a maximum Social Security payout of $5,108. With an average monthly payment of $1,976, beneficiaries are able to budget their spending and debts appropriately.
