The Colorado Springs: The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was notified of a shooting in the 1600 block of Rushmore Dr. on December 25, 2024, just after 4 a.m.
According to officers, the individual had already left the site when they got there. The shooting victim was found in a bedroom upstairs.
The victim’s right arm required a tourniquet because of the volume of blood, according to CSPD.
Later, Ulises Jaquez-Hernandez, the criminal, returned and was caught.
The incident started with a fight between the suspect, who is 22 years old, and his father, according to CSPD. The department claims that after they got home, the mother and father went into their bedroom and shut the door. The mother was wounded in the right arm when the suspect, brandishing a revolver, shot one round through the bedroom door, according to CSPD.
The mother has been moved to a nearby hospital for treatment, the agency said.
KRDO13 was informed by the CSPD that the shooting is being investigated.
According to the post, the son shoots his mother. The post was first published on KRDO on Christmas morning.
