SSDI payments from December 11 through December 24, Social Security confirms disability checks of up to $3,822

Sharing is caring!

Social Security recipients who are eligible will get three additional paychecks following the December 3 Social Security payment. At the very least, you might still be qualified for an SSI check on December 31, 2024, if your disability insurance payment was received on December 3.

On December 11, 18, or 24, those who have not yet received their SSDI payment could do so. These payments are typically made on December’s second, third, and fourth Wednesdays. But this month, the Social Security Administration made a big announcement.

Not all SSDI payments will be issued on Wednesdays

The payment for the third Wednesday is due on Tuesday, according to confirmation from the Agency. Disability benefits will be paid on the prior business day since December 25 is a federal holiday.

On Wednesday, December 11 and Wednesday, December 18, the final two SSDI payments will be deposited into the accounts of qualified recipients. Keep in mind that your birthdate determines your eligibility for these monthly payments.

In order to be eligible for SSDI benefits after December 3:

  • disability payment due on December 11 if you were born from 1-10
  • disability payment due on December 18 if you were born from 11-20
  • disability payment due on December 24 if you were born from 21-31

Will you receive $1,542 from your next SSDI payment?

The amount of the payment varies for each recipient. This is due to the possibility that you worked for a certain number of years, that your wages changed, and that you applied for SSDI at a different age.

Keep in mind that in 2024, your Social Security Disability Insurance benefit might reach $3,822. It will be $4,018 following the 2025 COLA hike. Naturally, for people who made a lot of money while working, this will be the maximum disability compensation.

The dates of the 2025 2.5% COLA hike are January 3, 8, 15, and 22. Therefore, no December payments will reflect the 2025 COLA hike. Although the average SSDI payment is $1,542, you’re not guaranteed to get that sum; in fact, it can be less or more.
