According to authorities on Monday, a Stockton couple was detained last week on suspicion of drug and weapons offenses after allegedly selling drugs in the Bay Area.
Officers stopped a fentanyl sale in early December and began investigating the two, according to the San Jose Police Department. According to investigators, the individual was “routinely traveling” to distribute illegal drugs from the Central Valley to San Francisco and San Jose.
Additionally, the detectives discovered that the man’s girlfriend had been unlawfully buying firearms for the man, who is not allowed to own firearms. Search and arrest warrants were acquired.
The suspects, identified as 27-year-old Jade Linhthasack and 37-year-old Justin Dixon, were taken into custody by San Jose police officers on Thursday with assistance from the Stockton Police Department SWAT Team and other units. The two were taken to the Main Jail in San Joaquin County.
Linhthasack was arrested for alleged crimes involving illegal firearms, while Dixon was arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal firearms and selling drugs.
While carrying out the search warrants, police claimed to have found firearms, drugs, and other stuff. A semiautomatic handgun, an assault rifle, and another rifle with unlawful modifications were among the at least 13 firearms that were confiscated.
According to authorities, two of the confiscated firearms were stolen, two had ruined serial numbers, and two were unregistered.
Additionally, “large quantities” of drugs, including cocaine, oxycodone, promethazine, cannabis, and illicit prescriptions, were found during the search. Along with diamonds and gold that were allegedly bought with proceeds from the sale of firearms and drugs, police also found expensive watches, purses, shoes, and clothes.
Dixon is expected to appear in court on Monday after being detained on $540,000 bail, according to jail records.
