A Hamden man was arrested following a quadruple shooting on Halloween that left one woman in critical condition and three others injured, according to police.

Brian Anderson-Benton, 21, was arrested and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit.

This comes after police were dispatched to the 50 block of Church Street shortly after 2 a.m. on Oct. 31 for a report of gunshots and a shooting.

According to police, two shooters exchanged approximately 30 rounds of gunfire.

Police discovered a 19-year-old West Haven woman unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Officers discovered a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old man from Hamden with gunshot wounds.

Police said a second suspect is still being treated in the hospital. The suspect faces the same charges, but no arrest warrant has been issued.

Additional charges may be pending, according to police.

Anderson-Benton has yet to post bail after being assigned a $500,000 bond.
