One of many burglary suspects who reportedly crashed a car through a storefront entrance last week was taken into custody by Vallejo police.

Officers responded to a burglary that was underway at a business located in the 300 block of Tennessee Street on December 16. Numerous cars and suspects trying to break into the establishment were reported by callers. The suspects rammed the store’s front entry with a car after their attempts to open the doors failed, seriously damaging the building.

According to authorities, the suspects damaged an ATM inside the store and stole about $9,400 worth of goods from the wrecked and looted establishment. The store owner calculated that the overall losses, including the cost of repairs, would be more than $14,000.

Officers received a thorough description of the suspect cars from witnesses, including a Honda Pilot that had been reported stolen in Oakland.

During an area search, officers found the Honda and made an attempt at a felony traffic stop. When the driver lost control and struck two unoccupied parked cars close to Solano Avenue and Tuolumne Street, the chase came to an abrupt halt.

The driver reportedly attempted to hide in the area after running away on foot. The guy was apprehended by police after they used a drone to locate him hiding beneath a car on Perkins Avenue. A warrant for the suspect’s arrest for burglary was issued by Mountain View.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Solano County Jail on charges of a number of offenses, including burglary and possession of a carjack.
