According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect who was previously free on bail was taken into custody early Monday morning in Half Moon Bay on suspicion of several offenses, including drug possession, burglary, and possession of stolen property.
Deputies were on patrol in Half Moon Bay on Monday at approximately 1:15 a.m. when they encountered a known probationer at the Chevron in the 300 block of North Cabrillo Highway.
The 42-year-old defendant, Jose A. Reyes Neri, was allegedly discovered in possession of many suspected stolen things, cocaine, and paraphernalia.
In the end, deputies were able to identify the owners of the products, including a local shop in Half Moon Bay that had been inadvertently broken into on Sunday night.
On suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, felony while out on bond, petty theft, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Reyes Neri was admitted to the Maguire Correctional Facility.
