The FBI has arrested a North Carolina guy known as ‘AK Guru’ who is accused of selling hundreds of machine guns

A North Carolina man was arrested after being accused of manufacturing and selling hundreds of machine weapons.

Investigators were first tipped off after arresting another individual in Wake County.

The defendant was allegedly characterized to FBI agents as “AK Guru” also known as Earl Carter of Hamlet, located in Richmond County near the South Carolina border.

The FBI captured Carter after going undercover and witnessing his operation at home.

The criminal complaint stated that FBI agents discovered that “Carter has made and sold hundreds of machine guns to date.” Agents also discovered that he creates them by either modifying legal firearms or assembling pieces from disassembled machine guns to create functional weaponry.

According to the complaint, the FBI relied on a confidential informant and another defendant who volunteered to collaborate with authorities.

A search warrant led to Carter’s Hamlet home, which contained dozens of machine guns and handmade suppressors.

According to the person cooperating with the FBI, Carter sold at least 1,000 modified automatic guns to various factions in the Carolinas.

According to the accusation, Carter sold many AK-style guns to buyers labeled as “people from the mountains” on a weekly basis.

The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
