A lot of states, including North Carolina, are stepping up their efforts for president. On Monday, former President Donald Trump stopped in Greenville to rally his fans.

“All the energy he has every day.” Melissa Stevens, a Trump fan, said, “He gets up and fights for us every single day.” “It’s great to be here, and I’m thankful for the chance.”

People who were supporting could be seen in lines that went from Minges Coliseum to 14th Street.

There was also a lot of protection because of what officials are calling two attempts to kill the former president.

Many people were excited to hear Trump’s plans for issues like border security and the economy, even though there were long lines and security checks.

“For your own safety, go to the store.” “I want to be able to buy groceries again,” Stevens said.

Trump has been to North Carolina at least seven times since the end of July, so he is familiar with the area. Kylie Lane says these visits are important so that people can make smart choices.

Lane said, “I think it’s important to know what’s going on.” “A lot of people don’t know what’s going on and decide, ‘Let’s vote for this person or that person,’ but they need to learn more about what’s going on.

Bailey Hunter says this is her first time being able to vote in a presidential race. She says that young people need to be heard this year because North Carolina is a key state that could go either way.

“I think it’s very important for everyone, but especially for young people like me because we’re the next generation, and if we don’t support the right way, we’ll be living in a terrible economy,” Hunter said.

Trump’s campaign website says that Concord is where he will be next.
