Arkansas police were alerted of a theft at a Game Stop on December 21 that involved suspects who had already left, according to KAIT8 News. Thankfully, a trooper noticed the car—a Nissan Maxima—and started a traffic stop.
A police pursuit at high speed ensued because the driver refused to stop. Regretfully, the vehicle occasionally went over 100 mph in residential neighborhoods throughout the pursuit.
The responding police officers persisted in their efforts to stop the vehicles. According to the report, the suspect vehicle was stopped by troopers using a tactical vehicle intervention near the junction of Broadway Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
This was successful, and the police found that the car was occupied by three people. Dennis Davis, 27, Davion Lawson, 30, and Bobby Logwood, 33, were the drivers.
All three men are facing significant charges after the traffic encounter. The driver faces many traffic infractions, including theft of property, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, and evasion.
The two travelers are charged with both drug paraphernalia possession and theft. The officers found over $2,600 worth of stolen goods in total. Fortunately, the chase did not result in any injuries.
