On a lucky weekend in North Carolina, three lottery players won large sums of money.

Each participant will get richer after buying a lottery ticket valued over $100,000, the N.C. Education Lottery said on X, formerly known as Twitter. What was the source of the winning tickets?

  • $110,000 Carolina Cash 5 game ticket sold at a Circle K in Charlotte
  • $160,691 Carolina Cash 5 game ticket sold at Yemen Food Mart in Rocky Mount
  • $150,000 Big Crush Multiplier game ticket sold online to a player in Clayton

Two days after another winner took home an even bigger prize, the $110,000 Cash 5 winner took home the game’s December 8 jackpot. The regulations state that a player’s ticket must match every number in the drawing in order to win. The winning numbers for this weekend are as follows:

  • Dec. 8 drawing: 2-4-9-12-32
  • Dec. 6 drawing: 7-10-22-38-42

Another jackpot game that can only be played online is Big Crush Multiplier. The winner of the game matched enough digital symbols to take home the grand prize on December 6.

On December 9, a lottery representative sent McClatchy News an email stating that the Big Crush Multiplier winner was cashing out their winnings. Winners have around six months to claim their Cash 5 rewards, but they haven’t yet.

Many people can play games of chance or gamble without getting hurt. But for others, gambling is an addiction that can ruin families and lives.
