As per the established local calendar, one state is ending its SNAP benefit payment distribution today, while eight other states will carry on for a few more days.
For January 2025, a few states are processing SNAP benefits up to $1,751. If you haven’t received your monthly food assistance, check your exact dates because it can arrive this week or the following.
SNAP benefits still distributed in 8 states
The payment schedule for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) differs from state to state depending on the number of recipients and local government systems.
The reality of each state and its institutional systems are reflected in the major differences in distribution methods and deadlines. While some may take up to 28 days, others finish all benefit disbursements in a single day.
By this time in January, the majority of states had completed SNAP distributions. Nine states are still providing assistance, though. The following is a list of these states’ distribution dates:
-
Florida:
Until January 28 -
Indiana:
Until January 23 -
Louisiana:

Maryland:

Mississippi:

Puerto Rico:

The states listed are among the 48 contiguous states with the same maximum benefit levels, with the exception of Puerto Rico. Because of their greater cost of living, territories like Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands have different numbers.

For instance, the maximum gross monthly income for a single-member household is $2,005, while the maximum income for a two-member household is $2,712.
Before applying (or recertifying your benefits, which is a regular need for all program participants), check with your local SNAP office to verify if you fulfill the income restriction requirements.
