Two people and one child were displaced Friday night due to a fire in Oakley, according to Acting District Fire Chief Eric Uhlhorn.

Around 9:50 p.m., Ulhorn said, firefighters were sent to the 3000 block of Minot Avenue in response to reports of a house fire.

The homeowner met the responding firefighters in the front yard and led them to the fire.

According to Ulhorn, firefighters found a second-floor fire that had moved from the restroom to the corridor.

According to Ulhorn, the fire was put out in ten minutes after an external attack was initiated.

According to Ulhorn, firefighters were able to preserve most of the house, but the damage is estimated to be roughly $25,000.
