Two are arrested, 1 is still sought in Monroe Halloween shooting: PD

North Carolina’s Monroe (News from Queen City) Monroe Police announced Tuesday that two suspects are in jail and one is still at large in connection with a Halloween shooting that left a 29-year-old fighting for his life.

On Monday evening, Oquavyon McBride, 22, of Pageland, and Antoine Leach, 19, of Monroe, were taken into custody within the Icemorlee apartment complex, the scene of the October 31 incident. Leach is being held without bond after being charged with attempted murder.

In addition to being charged with other offenses, such as felony gun possession and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to murder, McBride is being held on a $150,000 bond.

After being shot, 29-year-old Brandon Williams of Marshville was taken to a nearby hospital with potentially fatal injuries. An initial investigation found that there had been a dispute before the shooting.

The 24-year-old Tristian Ingram is still wanted. It is recommended that anyone with information contact the law enforcement at 704-282-4700.
