DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Coroner Todd Hardee told News13 that a house fire in Darlington County on Tuesday night claimed the lives of two small children.

The victims were inside a house on Cedar Ridge Road in the Dovesville community, according to Hardee, who gave little more details.

Please remember to pray for the staff of the Darlington County Fire District tonight. Just before 9:30 p.m., the Cheraw Fire Department said on Facebook, “They had a very tough call tonight that hits close to home for many of them and us.”

On Tuesday evening, Chief Ricky Flowers was unavailable for comment.
