Two persons died after a head-on collision in Ohio

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that a head-on collision in Warren County on Wednesday night claimed the lives of two drivers.

The crash occurred on Ohio Route 63, close to Ohio Route 741, at approximately 9:30 p.m.

An eastbound 2012 Mercedes S550 vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2009 Kia Sedona minivan head-on, according to the results of an initial inquiry.

On the spot, both drivers were declared dead. They were identified by authorities as Kelly Hitchcock, 33, who was driving the Kia, and Tyler Desparois, 19, who was driving the Mercedes. They were both from Lebanon.

State Route 63 has reopened after being closed for about four hours as troopers conducted their investigation. The cause of the collision is still being looked into.

According to the Lebanon post, the Ohio State Highway Patrol received assistance at the site from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Turtlecreek Township Fire Department, Ohio Department of Transportation, Warren County Coroner’s Office, and Case Towing.
