Two SSI checks in November – Here are the two exact payment dates

According to recent news from the Social Security Administration, beneficiaries from the Supplemental Security Incoe (SSI) program will be eligible to receive two SSI checks in November. Depending on when a month begins, the payment plan may vary from month to month. To help you anticipate when your checks will arrive, the payment plan for the remainder of the year is provided below. The SSA is the federal agency responsible for overseeing a program called Supplemental Security Income.

Moreover, it benefits qualified recipients with little income and resources, as well as persons with qualifying disabilities. Children who are blind or have disabilities may also be eligible for SSI. To help you avoid guessing when you will get your next check, we will break down the payment schedule for the rest of the year if you have just started receiving benefits or are about to apply for SSI. As the end of the year approaches, many beneficiaries might be wondering when they will receive their next SSI checks to help them cover their daily living expenses. Since knowing the exact payment dates is crucial for beneficiaries, we would like to share with you the upcoming payment dates based on the Social Security payment schedule for 2024. SSI payments SSI payments date Advanced payment
October October 1st
November November 1st November 29th (December 1st)
December December 31st (January 1st)

As you can see, this year has yet to deliver three SSI checks for low-income Americans. Usually, the SSI program delivers its benefits on the first day of the month, unless it falls on a weekend or federal holiday. For example, in November recipients will get two SSI checks as December 1st falls on a weekend. The same situation will happen at the end of December since the first of January falls on a holiday. Therefore, during the last two months of the year, beneficiaries from the Supplemental Security Income program will get three SSI checks.

What are the requirements to qualify for SSI checks?

Qualifying for the SSI program might not be the easiest task for candidates, as the Social Security Administration has strict requirements regarding income, assets, and resources that need to be met. These requirements include demonstrating that you don’t earn more than $1,971 per month, and you should also be a senior above 65 years old, disabled, or a child struggling financially.  On the other hand, to qualify for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, you will also have to demonstrate that your common resources are lower than $2,000 for individuals and $3,000 for couples.

However, keep in mind that to qualify for these benefits, individuals aged 64 or younger must have a disability that affects their ability to work for a year or more, will result in death, or severely limits daily activity. Once you are approved to receive SSI checks, the Social Security Administration will deliver different payment amounts based on your filing category, as detailed here:
