UPDATE: A wanted man is in custody after law enforcement converges on Lakeview

On Saturday night, December 7, Logan County law enforcement in Lakeview arrested a Cincinnati man who is a suspect in a stabbing incident that happened on November 29 in the city’s Mount Adams neighborhood.

According to several news outlets, Cincinnati police were looking for 31-year-old Michael Bowlin in connection with a stabbing that seriously injured a construction worker.

After being repeatedly stabbed on the 300 block of Baum Street, the injured worker was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The day following the stabbing, Bowlin was taken into custody in Madison County, Kentucky, on a separate criminal trespassing allegation.

Bowlin’s probable role in the stabbing remained unknown to the police, and on December 3, he was freed from custody.

Officers from Logan County chased Bowlin’s automobile, which was allegedly carrying additional people, until they came to rest close to Main and Harrison streets in Lakeview.

Around six o’clock in the evening, the suspect was captured and taken to the Logan County Jail.

In Logan County, there have been no reports of injuries connected to Bowlin’s arrest.

After a hectic few hours for multiple law enforcement agencies that helped capture him in Lakeview, a wanted Cincinnati man is now in jail Saturday evening.

Preliminary reports state that on Saturday afternoon, authorities in the Indian Lake area received a ping on the suspect’s smartphone.

The man, who officials deemed to be armed and dangerous, was driving a Honda Accord with a tinted license plate with multiple other people, according to emergency scanner traffic.

The suspect vehicle was pursued by law enforcement for some time.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., a sizable police presence reached the Lakeview junction of Main and Harrison streets, where the car had stopped.

While investigators sought to identify the perpetrator, other passengers in the car were temporarily placed under arrest.

According to reports, Indian Joint firefighters helped police remove a person from a house’s roof close to where the Honda was halted. It’s unclear if that person or someone else was the suspect.

As the scenario develops, no injuries have been recorded.

The suspect was apprehended with the assistance of deputies from the Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, Washington Township and Russell’s Point Police, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, special response teams, and an aviation unit.
