Sharing is caring!

It’s possible that if you receive Social Security, you won’t get your check on November 27. This can be the result of a check or direct deposit that you already got on November 1, 13, or 20. Don’t worry, on-time payments are anticipated.

Please get in touch with your bank if you are eligible for the November 27 payday and do not receive your money on that day.

Although some financial institutions could take longer to process payments, get in touch with the Social Security Administration if it takes longer than three mailing days. After November 27th, payments to retirees will start on December 3rd. On November 29, 2024, recipients of Supplemental Security Income will start receiving it.

December 3, the first Social Security payment date for eligible retirees

On the third of next month, a check or deposit will be made to two different sets of recipients. To be eligible for funds on that day, you can receive:

  • if you received Social Security before May 1997 or
  • if getting both Social Security & Supplemental Security Income

* Social Security will be paid on December 3 and SSI on December 1.

For eligible retirees, there will be three further paydays following the December 3 payments. The dates of their issuance are December 11, 18, and 24. The birthdate requirement is obviously required. If you were born between 1 and 10, look for the 11th. The 18th is for those whose birthdays fall between 11 and 20; the 24th is for the others.

Social Security amounts after Nov. 27 and details about the last payday

Checks are anticipated to be marginally higher on average next month because the Agency last updated the average compensation for retired workers in November, and the amount was for October.

The COLAfact sheet, which indicates that the average amount prior to the COLA rise will be roughly $1,927, supports that. December’s maximum payment will be $4,873.

Retirees will not receive their final payout on a Wednesday in December. This is because checks will be issued on December 24 in advance of December 25, which is a federal holiday.
