The Butler County Sheriff’s Office reports that a suspect is in police custody following a pursuit involving an Indiana semi truck that was stolen.
The sheriff’s office said that after an hour-and-a-half pursuit involving many police jurisdictions, 37-year-old Joseph Horton was taken into custody.
Deputies claim that Horton threw hammers and other items out the window in an effort to dissuade the cruisers that were pursuing him.
Deputies reported that the lorry ran off the road close to Hamilton’s Black Street after responding police used stop sticks to cease the pursuit.
Horton was charged with receiving stolen items and noncompliance; other charges are still pending.
