Man stabbed in Rome; Woman arrested and charged with assault

On Sunday, there was a reported stabbing in Rome, which resulted in an arrest.

At twelve thirty-four minutes past midnight on October 20th, officers from the Rome Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Bloomfield Street.

“Responding units located a 56-year-old male victim with a stab wound to his left arm and was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries,” according to the police department.

She was identified as Christine M. Amalfitano, according to the officials who made the announcement.

Soon after the occurrence, she was brought into custody by law enforcement.

After that, Amalfitano was taken to the Oneida County Jail, where he is currently waiting to be arraigned.
