Oakland police seek public’s help in fatal shooting of young woman last July

In order to solve the July homicide of a young woman, Oakland police are requesting community assistance.

According to authorities, Juliette (Ju-Let) Harris, 24, also went by Jewels. On July 25 of this year, she was shot and killed in the 2000 block of International Boulevard shortly after two in the morning. Harris was lying in the street when the officers came. At the scene, she was declared deceased.

Police made public pictures of the victim and a car they think may have been involved in the murder. It’s a white, four-door Toyota Corolla with tinted windows, a spoiler, and hubcaps missing from the front passenger and rear driver sides.
